L’EPFL prévoit d’acquérir un four Czochralski pour sa plateforme Crystal Growth Facility (IPHYS-CGCP) de la Faculté des Sciences de Base (FSB). Cet équipement sera dédié à la recherche de pointe dans le domaine de la croissance cristalline. Compte tenu des besoins de l’EPFL et des objectifs scientifiques spécifiques de sa plateforme CGCP, l’accent sera mis sur les axes de recherche suivants : • Croissance d’oxydes à haut point de fusion • Croissance de nouveaux cristaux (découverte de matériaux)
