Security equipment tenders in Switzerland

Public tenders for fire service, police and protective equipment and security systems in Switzerland, with current deadlines and full sources. Titles and summaries are translated into English. The official notices are published in German or French, and each detail page links to them on simap.ch.

Overview

Security equipment tenders cover CPV division 35: fire and rescue equipment, breathing apparatus and personal protective equipment, police equipment, uniforms and insignia, surveillance, alarm and access control systems, and vehicles and materiel for the army and civil protection. Buyers are cantonal and city police forces, fire services and the cantonal building insurers that often co-finance their equipment, civil defence and civil protection, the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security, and armasuisse for the army.

Context

Part of defence and internal security procurement is exempt from procurement law or is not published. What appears on simap.ch is mostly supplies in the open or selective procedure: equipment in larger quantities through framework agreements over several years, systems with installation and maintenance, and emergency vehicles with bodywork. Cantons and police forces sometimes buy together, which raises volumes and standardises requirements.

What matters

Buyers usually ask for proof of the relevant standards and certifications, samples or wear trials with the future users, and the ability to deliver for the whole contract term, including repeat orders of the same model. Besides price, they score quality, ergonomics, service and spare parts. Sensitive projects add confidentiality agreements and personnel security checks for the staff involved. Check early whether you can deliver samples within the bid period and which deviations from the specification are allowed.

Sealio summarises the documents, shows mandatory criteria, evidence and dates at a glance, and reports new security equipment tenders in your product groups and cantons. Before you bid, compare the required standards, samples and delivery times with your own offer. The practical guide for bidders explains procedures, deadlines and submission in detail.
