Kanton St.Gallen is replacing the Giessen Bridge and renewing the adjacent cantonal road after the existing structures and road surfaces were identified for rehabilitation. The works will restore the crossing and adapt routes for motor vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists.

- Works include demolition, bridge reconstruction, 24 micropiles, about 365 m³ concrete and 1,080 t of surfacing.

Das Projekt umfasst den Ersatz der bestehenden Brücke Giessen sowie die Anpassung und Erneuerung der angrenzenden Kantonsstrasse Nr. 114 zwischen dem Kreisel Langäuli und der Güterstrasse in der Stadt Buchs. Die Arbeiten beinhalten den Abbruch der bestehenden Bauwerke, den Neubau der Brücke mit Fundationen sowie die Anpassung der Verkehrsflächen für den motorisierten Verkehr und den Fuss- und Veloverkehr. Bestandteil der Arbeiten ist zudem die Anpassung der Einmündung Sternstrasse mit Korrektur der Linienführung des Geh- und Radwegs, dem Neubau einer Differenzmauer, der Erstellung von Parkplätzen sowie der Erneuerung der Beläge im betroffenen Bereich. Hauptkubaturen: Abbruch Beläge, ca. 915 t Abbruch Beton, ca. 475 m3 Mikropfähle, ca. 24 Stk. Beton, ca. 365 m3 Abdichtung, ca. 370 m2 Beläge, ca. 1'080 t Natursteine, ca. 200 t
