Die Hauptstrasse zwischen Ried und Muotathal weist altersbedingte Schäden wie Belagseinbrüche, fortschreitende Rissbildung und markante Spurrinnen auf. Diese Mängel beeinträchtigen sowohl die Oberflächenentwässerung als auch die Verkehrssicherheit und den Winterdienst. Um den Zustand bis zum endgültigen Strassenausbau zu sichern, ist für das Jahr 2027 ein Ersatz der Deckschicht vorgesehen. Das Projekt umfasst zudem lokale Schiftungen, Ersatz von Schachtoberbauten sowie Reparaturen an Randabschlüssen. Die Hauptkubaturen betragen: Belag ca. 1470 t Randabschlüsse ca. 350 m Schachtabdeckungen ca. 75 Stk.
