Die bestehenden Werkleitungen in der Panoramastrasse befinden sich in einem sanierungsbedürftigen Zustand. Dies betrifft insbesondere die Leitungen fürs Wasser sowie Elektrizität. Gleichzeitig weist die Strasse und die bestehenden Randabschlüsse verschiedene Schadensstellen auf. Die horizontale und vertikale Linienführung der Strasse bleibt mit dem Projekt unverändert. Aufgrund des Alters des bestehenden Deckbelags sowie der vorhandenen Rissbildungen entlang der Randabschlüsse ist im Zuge der Werkleitungssanierung eine Gesamterneuerung des Belags vorgesehen. Dabei werden sowohl die Tragschicht als auch die Deckschicht erneuert. In den Abschnitten 1 und 3 wird zusätzlich die bestehende Fundationsschicht ersetzt.
