Das Projekt der Wasserversorgung umfasst den Ersatz zweier wichtiger bestehender Transport- und Hauptleitungen, grösstenteils im offenen Graben. Auf einem Abschnitt von etwa 130 Metern erfolgt die Sanierung der Transportleitung durch den Einzug einer Stahlleitung Ø 500 mm in die bestehende Graugussleitung Ø 700 mm, wofür diverse Gruben erforderlich sind. Die Paul-Clairmont-Strasse ist eine Privatstrasse, in welcher permanent eine Durchfahrtmöglichkeit für die Rettungsfahrzeuge des Stadtspitals Zürich sowie die Fahrzeuge von Schutz und Rettung Zürich beibehalten werden muss.
