Das Zentrum für Gehör und Sprache Zürich (ZGSZ) betreibt seit dem Schuljahr 2025/2026 einen provisorischen Schulbetrieb für Kinder mit einer Hör- und/oder Sprachbeeinträchtigung und einer Autismus-Spektrums-Störung (ASS) im Erdgeschoss und dem halben 1. Obergeschoss eines Pavillons aus dem Jahr 1976 am Römerweg 37 in Embrach. Die aktuell noch ungenutzte östliche Hälfte des 1. Obergeschosses und das gesamte 2. Obergeschoss sollen als Wohngruppenprovisorien mit insgesamt 14 Plätzen umgenutzt werden. Die vorhandene Struktur der Vornutzerin eignet sich mit geringen Anpassungen ideal, um die Bedürfnisse der Wohngruppen unterzubringen. Die Umsetzung des Projekts erfolgt in den jeweiligen Schulferien.
