Die Heizung an der OST in Buchs erfolgt über eine Fernwärmeübergabestation für alle Häuser. Damit die Gebäude unabhängig voneinander Betrieben werden können, werden hydraulische Trennungen in den Technikzentralen der einzelnen Häuser erweitert. Die bestehenden Pumpen, Ventile und Antriebe werden in diesen Umbauarbeiten ersetzt. Durch die Hydraulische Trennung werden zusätzliche Expansionsgefässe benötigt.
