Die Gemeinde Domat/Ems realisiert zusammen mit der Stadt Chur eine durchgehende Alltagsveloverkehrsroute zwischen Domat/Ems und Chur Süd. Die Route verläuft weitgehend entlang der bestehenden Verkehrsachse bzw. der RhB-Geleise und weist eine Gesamtlänge von rund 3.9 km auf. Sie gliedert sich in die Abschnitte A bis G. Ziel ist eine sichere, durchgehend befahrbare Veloverbindung mit einer Regelbreite von 3.00 m (in einzelnen Abschnitten 2.60 bzw. 2.65 m), beidseitig mit Bankett. Bauliche Massnahmen: Je nach Abschnitt umfasst das Projekt den Neubau der Veloroute, die Verbreiterung des bestehenden Weges (ca. 0.35–0.40 m, in Kurven bis ca. 1.00–1.20 m) sowie die Belagssanierung.
