Die Hauptabteilung Informatik ist das zentrale Kompetenz- und Servicezentrum für Informatik für die Kantonale Verwaltung, die Gerichte und die Gemeinden. Sie betreut unter anderem die Client-Flotte für die Kantonale Verwaltung, wie auch für die drei Politischen Gemeinden des Kanton Glarus und jene der Kantons- und Berufsschule. Mit der vorliegenden Ausschreibung bezweckt die Hauptabteilung Informatik die Bestimmung eines verlässlichen Vertrags- und Lieferpartners von Convertible und Clameshell Notebooks für die nächsten fünf Jahre. Die Lieferantin agiert als Generalunternehmerin. Es soll ein Rahmenvertrag abgeschlossen werden, der sowohl technisch und logistisch wie auch finanziell vorgegebene Leitplanken definiert, um bei Bedarf die entsprechenden Geräte innerhalb der Vertragsdauer abzurufen. Des Weiteren sollen die ausgeschriebenen Produkte bestmöglich in die bestehende Umgebung integrierbar sein und einen reibungslosen Ablauf bei Inbetriebnahme neuer Produkte ermöglichen.
