In den Nationalstrassenabschnitten der ASTRA Filiale Winterthur (F4) im Gebiet der GEVI und im Kanton SH befinden sich zahlreiche Abwasserschächte, Haltungen und Entwässerungsbauwerke. Diese sollen in einer GIS-Datenbank erfasst und dokumentiert werden. Damit eine einheitliche Erfassung sichergestellt ist, muss dies nach den Vorgaben der ASTRA Filiale 4 (20260617_EWA-Datenbank-Bezeichnungskonzept_F4) erfolgen. Die Grundleistung bei diesem Projekt ist es, die Entwässerungsdaten aus dem Archiv (in der Regel Pläne als PDF) gemäss dem filialspezifischen Bezeichnungskonzept in einen dazu aufzubauenden GIS-Kataster einzutragen.
