Im Bereich der Mittelgäustrasse, von der Überführungsstrasse bis zur Verzweigung Bornstrasse Richtung Ost sowie abschnittsweise in der Borstrasse, werden die Kanalisation und die Wasserleitung erneuert. Ausserdem werden im Zuge dieser Arbeiten auch der Strassenoberbau und Schachtarbeiten für die Swisscom durchgeführt. Teilbereiche des Baustellenperimeters entlang der Mittelgäustrasse und der Bornstrasse befinden sich innerhalb der Schutzzonen S3.
