Das Schulhaus Zelg in Kirchdorf befindet sich am Dorfrand, direkt angrenzend an das Naherholungs- und Naturschutzgebiet des Gerzensees. Die Schulanlage besteht aus dem Schulhaus (1976), Turnhalle (1989) und Kindergartenanbau (2015). Der Aussenbereich dient als Pausenraum sowie Sport- und Spielplatz. Das Projekt umfasst die Sanierung des Schulhauses und der Turnhalle sowie einen Anbau an das bestehende Schulhaus. Am Kindergartenanbau werden keine Massnahmen getroffen. Die Bauphasen werden etappiert umgesetzt und in Teilbereiche Anbau, Schulhaus, Turnhalle und Umgebung gegliedert.
