Swissgrid betreibt eine schweizweite Telekommunikationsinfrastruktur, welche den sicheren Informationsaustausch zwischen Unterwerken, Netzleitstellen, Rechenzentren sowie weiteren internen und externen Partnern gewährleistet. Im Rahmen eines Erneuerungsprojektes wird Swissgrid die bestehende Telekommunikationsinfrastruktur an rund 150 Standorten in der ganzen Schweiz erneuern und modernisieren. Dies umfasst insbesondere die Erneuerung von Telekommunikationsschränken sowie deren Inhalt (ohne Netzwerkkomponenten) an den Standorten. Dazu veröffentlicht Swissgrid eine selektive Ausschreibung. Ziel ist es, einen kompetenten, regional verankerten Infrastrukturlieferant mit ausgewiesener Erfahrung im Bereich von kritischer Infrastruktur zu finden. Der Leistungsumfang der Ausschreibung umfasst schweizweite Projektdienstleistungen für das Erneuerungsprojekt und für spätere Umbau- und Erweiterungsprojekte (z.B. Aufbau von mehreren hundert Telekommunikationsschränken), sowie Betriebsdienstleistungen (Service-Desk, Wartung und Logistikleistungen) und einen schweizweiten Field-Support mit kurzen Vorort-Reaktionszeiten.
