Die Gemeinde Lupfig beabsichtigt, den Strassenbelag der Unterdorfstrasse zu sanieren und den Strassenraum insgesamt sicherer und übersichtlicher zu gestalten. Im Zuge dieser Arbeiten ist vorgesehen, die Abflusskapazität des Scherzbachs zu erhöhen sowie den offenen Gewässerabschnitt ökologisch aufzuwerten und zu revitalisieren. Parallel dazu wird die bestehende Wasserleitung erneuert. Zudem planen die IBB und die Swisscom den Ausbau ihrer Anlagen im Projektperimeter.
