Intercantonal Authority for Public Procurement

The intercantonal body that steers and implements the cantonal public procurement agreement.

This authority is the intercantonal body for public procurement on the cantonal side. It exercises the powers laid down in the IVöB and keeps the agreement operational.

Its tasks include amending the agreement, subject to cantonal approval, issuing award rules, and adapting annexes such as thresholds. These powers give it a concrete steering role in cantonal procurement law.

For bidders, it shapes and harmonizes cantonal procurement law. Individual tenders are run by the relevant contracting authority.
