PPO, Ordinance on Public Procurement
The federal ordinance that spells out the PPA at ordinance level.
The PPO is the Federal Council's ordinance on public procurement. It adds the practical detail to the PPA where the act itself stays at framework level, for example on procedure mechanics, documentation, and supporting evidence.
For bidders, the PPO sets out the day-to-day rules that complement the federal act.
The revised PPO and PPA entered into force together on 1 January 2021. Together they form the federal procurement framework.
