Eligibility evidence

The document a bidder uses to show it meets a required eligibility criterion.

Eligibility evidence documents that a bidder meets a required criterion. It can include a commercial register extract, reference confirmation, certificate, or a key person's CV.

The tender documents usually specify the evidence required for each criterion and the acceptable form, including its permitted age, language, or certification. Missing or incomplete evidence can lead to exclusion even when the bidder meets the criterion in fact.

An organized evidence matrix that links each criterion to a number, a source, and an owner keeps one missing document from putting the whole bid at risk.
